Privacy Policy

Seen is a sports network that connects athletes, coaches, medical staff and managers with clubs and with each other. This policy explains what information Seen collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Seen apps for iPhone and Android and to the Seen website.
Seen is operated by Seif Hesham (“we”, “us”). If you have questions, contact us at support@theseenathletes.com.
Information you give us
- Account: your name, username, email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
- Profile: your sport, role and position, photos, date of birth, gender, height, nationality, country you live in, clubs and career history, national team history, achievements, and optional links (for example Instagram or video highlights).
- Phone number (optional): kept private and never shown on your profile. It is used only so people who already have your number in their contacts can find you.
- Messages and activity: messages you send, connections, and reviews you write in the Market.
- Support requests: what you send us when you contact support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage: which profiles you view and who viewed yours, and which Market products or stores you open, so we can show profile view counts and better suggestions.
- Country: when you sign up we suggest your country from your phone’s time zone and region settings. We do not use GPS or your precise location.
- Device: a push notification token so we can send you notifications, plus basic technical data (such as app version) needed to run the service.
Contacts
If you choose “Find people you know”, Seen asks for permission to read your phone contacts. The phone numbers are converted on your device into one-way codes (hashes), and only these codes are sent to compare with Seen members. We do not upload or store your contacts’ names or numbers. You can decline this permission and still use Seen.
How we use information
- To create and run your account and show your profile to other members.
- To suggest relevant people, clubs, academies and products, and to tell you when teammates join.
- To deliver messages and notifications.
- To keep Seen safe: preventing spam, fraud and abuse, and acting on reports.
- To provide Seen Pro if you subscribe, and to answer support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
What other members can see
Your profile (name, photo, sport, role, career, achievements and the information you add) is visible to other Seen members. Your email address, phone number and password are never shown. In Privacy & safety you can control who can message you, and you can block members at any time.
Sharing with service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run Seen, and only as needed: our hosting provider (servers and storage), our email provider (verification codes and account emails), Apple and Google (push notifications and app distribution), and payment providers if you buy Pro. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of members.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages, connections and other personal data are deleted from our systems, except where we must keep limited records by law. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and privacy settings in the app at any time.
- Turn off notifications or contacts access in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account in the app under Privacy & safety → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing support@theseenathletes.com.
Children
Seen is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country, you need permission from a parent or guardian. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update this page and let you know in the app.
